SGWA

HAZLEHURST, GA

FIRESTORM IV

JULY 2, 2005

Ring Announcer/Commentator George Davis introduced the fans to Mr. Lee Douglas, the Commissioner of the South Atlantic division of the NWA, who was there to see why the fans in Georgia hate Rouge so much, and to oversee the NWA title match coming up later in the evening. Then Rouge came out, expecting to take on CEO Wayne Cannon (which was set up last month after Rouge attacked Cannon with a chair), but Cannon surprised him by announcing that, if Rouge first beat a mystery opponent, he could face Cannon later in the night. Rouge wasn't happy, but there wasn't much he could do, since Cannon owns the company, and could set whatever matches he wanted. Cannon then introduced Rouge's opponent - "Kidd" Kross!!!

MATCH 1

A Man Named Rouge vs. Mike Kross

Rouge was surprised, but confident, since he had faced Kross several times in the past, and had taken the SGWA Cruiserweight title away from him two years ago at Firestorm 2. These two battled back and forth, but in the end, it was Rouge coming out on top, after his Tag Team partner, Marvelous Matt Mercer, interfered, while Rouge distracted the ref. Rouge then talked much smack about how he was going to put Cannon in the hospital later in their match. Cannon just laughed and informed Rouge that he indeed had his match, but that it would be a no DQ match. The winner would get to set any kind of match they wanted.

MATCH 2

Rouge vs. Wayne Cannon

After SGWA Heavyweight Champ K-OSS came out and informed the crowd (and all who would listen) that he was the one, the only, and the best SGWA Heavyweight champ in the history of the company, Rouge made his way back to the ring, to the jeers of the fans. Then Wayne Cannon was introduced, and the fans went wild, expecting to see Cannon dismantle the much smaller Rouge in this No DQ match. As the two faced each other in the center of the ring, Cannon produced a quarter from his pocket, showed it to him, and then flipped it high into the air. Rouge watched as the quarter flipped up, and Cannon suddenly kicked him in the nether regions, and then Power Bombed him darn-near through the mat. Cannon then quickly pinned him for the 1-2-3!!! As the crowd cheered, Cannon announced that Rouge would be added to the list of wrestlers participating in the Fan Participation Lumberjack Strap match. Rouge screamed his displeasure, but it wouldn't matter. He had fallen for one of the oldest playground tricks in the book, and it had cost him the match!!! Cannon opined that it was the best twenty five cents he had ever spent.

MATCH 3

Rouge/Mercer vs. Chasyn O'Brian/CyCo

This one was for the SGWA Tag Team titles, and was also Rouge's third match of the night. Cyco and Chasyn came out fired up, and within seconds, CyCo was bleeding from a head butt. When he saw his own blood, he went berserk, and began hitting anyone in the ring. Unfortunately for Rouge and Mercer, THEY were the targets. Chasyn hit several high-risk maneuvers, and after swapping licks with two kendo staffs, the team of Chasyn and CyCo proved they were just too much for the overtired Rouge and Mercer. Mercer got knocked unconscious, and was pinned. "Ladies and gentlemen, the winners of the match, and NEW SGWA Tag Team Champions, the team of Chasyn O'Brian and CyCo!!!!!"

MATCH 4

Dangerous Danny Horne vs Dirty Dawg vs BME vs ROUGE

The fans had waited long enough. In the Main Event, these five men would face off against each other, in a Fan Participation Lumberjack Strap match. Fifty fans had paid two dollars each to purchase a strap with which to beat anyone tossed out of the ring. Before the match began, Wayne Cannon had yet another surprise: he was going to be the guest referee!!! As the fans lined the ring, the five men went at it. First out of the ring was Danny Horne, and the fans warmed his behind for his trouble. Rouge was next, and he found out quickly that outside the ring was not such a good place to be. BME's Roadblock was next out, and he showed no hurry to get back in, as the fans rained blow after blow on him. He walked all the way around the ring, being pummeled the entire way, and just shrugged off the straps like they were annoying gnats. Climbing back in, he grabbed both Rouge and Danny Horne, slammed their heads together, and threw both out onto the floor. In less time than it takes to tell it, both were back in, screaming in pain. Dirty Dawg was thrown out next, but the fans helped him back into the ring instead of whipping him!!! When Bonecrusher was finally rolled out, the fans again went nuts, and one fan was ejected for hitting him in the face. The whippings went on for what seemed like an hour, until, finally, mercifully, it was over. There in the ring were ROUGE and Danny Horne, beaten, bruised and almost flat as a pancake after being crushed by Roadblock. Dirty Dawg seized the opportunity, and, grabbing both men by a leg, covered them for the Double-Pinfall. The stipulation for this match was that the loser had to wear a diaper and be pelted with water balloons by the fans at the next show.

The Dudes Vs Team No Respect

The Dudes (Rouge and Dustin Michaels) Vs. Team No Respect (Tommy Marr and Blade Walker). After the way the Rouge and Marr match ended last month of course Rouge is going to be after Marr for taking his title. This match was a great match.

There was action going on inside and outside of the ring. Rouge was mainly feuding with Marr out side of the ring. But inside the ring Walker slammed Dustin on to the ring with such force you could see that the ring was breaking in the middle! While they continued to battle in the ring with the ring breaking more and more with every slam.

Marr and Rouge continued to beat the hell out of each other inside the ring. You really didn't know what action you wanted to watch more. But kept getting drawn to the action inside the ring waiting to see what would happen. Would it break with the force that the two wrestlers inside the ring were using or would it stay together.

Walker did end up pinning Dustin and chock slamming him with such force that the ring finally broke. Giving his team the chance to face Rico and Manson for the tag team belt that were forfeited by Axis and Python due to an injury. This match did not end a minute to soon, when the ring crew came out to look at it the one side of the ring collapsed.

Due to the severe thunderstorm that came through on Friday afternoon/night lightning struck a transformer knocking out power to the Gym in Hayneville and because of that the April 23rd show was forced to be cancelled.
